Bishkek, June 11, 2019. /Kabar/. President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov on June 11 received Minister of Foreign Affairs Chingiz Aidarbekov, the Kyrgyz President’s press service reported.
The sides discussed the preparations for the upcoming state visit of President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping, as well as the official visits of President of Mongolia Khaltmaagiin Battulga and Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi to the Kyrgyz Republic.
In addition, Minister Aidarbekov presented information on the preparations for the meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in Bishkek.
The President noted the particular importance of holding all the above events at the proper level.
Foreign Affairs Minister Aidarbekov said that all the preparatory activities are held within the previously established timeframes. He also told about the current challenges facing the Foreign Ministry.
The Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit will be held in Bishkek on June 13-15 under the chairmanship of Kyrgyzstan. Eleven heads of state will arrive at the event. Chinese President Xi Jinping, Mongolian President Khaltmaagiin Battulga and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also pay official visits to Kyrgyzstan.
