President Tokayev promises to continue Nazarbayev's strategies

AKIPRESS.COM - "I will be working on implementation of strategies of Yelbasy (national leader) Nursultan Nazarbayev to bring the country to a sustainable development level," Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said today after being sworn in as President of Kazakhstan, Sputnik Kazakhstan reported. During his speech, Tokayev thanked the Kazakhstanis for great trust and support in as he called "democratic and fair" election.
The President noted that the government is tasked to seriously change a social policy, he added.
Tokayev noted that his main purpose is protection of the national interest and promised to create a presidential personnel reserve for young people.
The newly elected president during the snap presidential vote took 70.96% of ballots.
