Kyrgyzstan seeks continued cooperation with UN in development of regions, improvement of access to potable water – President

AKIPRESS.COM - President Sooronbai Jeenbekov today met UN Under-Secretary-General for Political Affairs Rosemary DiCarlo, who arrived in Kyrgyzstan to attend the SCO Summit.
Discussions focused on relevant issues of cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and UN, the president's press service said.
President Jeenbekov thanked UN for supporting the efforts of Kyrgyzstan in strengthening democracy principles and improvement of the electoral system.
The President has urged UN to continue cooperation in introduction of information technologies, development of the regions, improvement of access to potable water in rural areas of the country.
UN sees deepening of cooperation with Kyrgyzstan among its priorities, Rosemary DiCarlo said and expressed readiness for continued assistance to the country in addressing existing issues.
