AKIPRESS.COM - The demonstrators that are involved in illegal rallies will get the most strict measures, including the criminal ones, within the framework of the current legislation, the General Prosecutor's Office of Kazakhstan said in its statement. The statement reminds that warnings of illegal rallies have repeatedly been announced to the nation earlier.
"Despite this, some individuals continue spreading provocative calls for demonstrations in major cities of the country on social media," the General Prosecutor's Office notes.
There is incitement to use violence against law enforcement officers, according to the note. The General Prosecutor's Office called for citizens to obey the law and refuse from organization of unlawful protests.
Authorities earlier commented on mass protests in the cities and reported about individuals provokating and attacking police officers. "To protect the life and health of passers-by, women and children, the law enforcement agencies have taken measures aimed at preserving public order," they said.
