Ex-PM of Kazakhstan Sagintayev re-elected as Chief of Staff of President's Office

AKIPRESS.COM - Former Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Bakytzhan Sagintayev has been appointed as Head of Staff of President's Office by a decree signed by President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on June 12, the President's press service said. Sagintayev was born on October 13, 1963 in Jambyl region. He graduated the Kazakh State University.
He has been working in government service for about 20 years.
In 2002-2004, Sagintayev served as the First Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Regulation of National Monopolies and Protection of Competition.
In 2007-2008, he was appointed as Chief of Staff of President's Office.
Sagintayev has been served as acting Prime Minister of Kazakhstan in 2016-2019. He served as Secretary of State on March 1-24, 2019. Later he was appointed as Chief of Staff of President's Office.
Sagintayev was awarded with several orders. He is married and has 2 children.
