More than 500 foreign and local journalists cover SCO Summit in Bishkek

Bishkek, June 14, 2019. /Kabar/. More than 500 foreign and local media representatives are accredited to cover the meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) in Bishkek, the Kyrgyz President’s press service reported.
The meeting of the SCO Council of Heads of State is held today at the Ala-Archa State Residence.
Thus, 434 foreign journalists from 115 mass media of India, Kazakhstan, China, Pakistan, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Afghanistan, Belarus, Iran, Mongolia and Japan received accreditation for coverage of the event.
94 representatives from 32 media of Kyrgyzstan also received accreditation.
The press center for media representatives is located in the Enesay Reception House of the Ala-Archa State Residence.
The meeting will be broadcast live on Ala-Too 24 TV channel of the Public Broadcasting Corporation.
Live broadcasts will include accredited foreign and local TV hosts.
SCO members are 8 countries: India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, China, Pakistan, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan. Four countries have observer status: Afghanistan, Belarus, Iran and Mongolia.
Besides the SCO Summit, other international events were held in Bishkek these days: President of Mongolia Khaltmaagiin Battulga arrived in Bishkek on June 12 for an official visit to Kyrgyzstan.
The state visit of President of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping took place on June 13.
The official visit of Prime Minister of the Republic of India Narendra Modi will take place on June 14.
