Bishkek, June 14, 2019. / Kabar /. The 19th Summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) has started in Bishkek.
The event is taking place at Ala-Archa state residence.
President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov meet the distinguished guests in the lobby of the state residence.
After a brief greeting and photographing against the background of the banner, the distinguished guests are invited to the waiting room.
Meetings are planned to be held n a narrow and wide formats.
Leaders of India, Kazakhstan, China, Pakistan, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan take part in the SCO Summit as permanent members of the organization. In addition, Presidents of Belarus, Afghanistan, Iran and Mongolia arrived as observer countries.
All the countries’ leaders, in particular, Russian President Vladimir Putin, Kazakhstan Kassym-Joomart Tokayev, Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, Tajikistan Emomali Rakhmon, Iran Hasan Rouhani, Chinese Chairman Xi Jinping, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan, as well as Presidents of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, Mongolia Khaltmaagiin Battulga, Afghanistan Ashraf Gani Ahmadzai, have already arrived in Bishkek.
More than 500 foreign and local media representatives will cover the SCO Summit in Bishkek.
Reportedly, about 20 final documents are being worked out, which are planned to be signed during the meeting of the heads of the SCO member states. Among them are the Bishkek Declaration and other documents of cooperation in various fields.
