President of Afghanistan calls for joint fight against drug production

AKIPRESS.COM - President of Afghanistan Mohammad Ashraf Ghani has called for cooperation in fight against drug production. Drugs, terrorism and war are big challenges for Afghanistan, he said at the SCO Summit in Bishkek today.
Afghanistan welcomed any support in fight against drugs, he said, adding 52 drug laboratories were destroyed in the country.
War in Afghanistan has many dimensions. It is necessary to reduce violence in the region, Ashraf Ghani said and called for regional and national cooperation with all partners.
This would require regional consensus and work with the Taliban, Asraf Ghani stated.
