Putin: Russia to focus on deepening economic ties between SCO members as part of its chairmanship

AKIPRESS.COM - Russia will be focused on deepening mutually beneficial economic ties between the SCO states as part of its chairmanship, Russian President Vladimir Putin said during the SCO summit in Bishkek on June 14.
Therefore, Russia suggests to come up with new promising projects in trade, industry, energy, infrastructure, science, technology and innovation fields.
Russia also suggests to hold the first Forum of Heads of Regions in the beginning of the next year, he said.
"We consider very promising to pair the construction of the Eurasian Economic Union and realization of the Belt and Road Initiative of China with a view to forming in the future a large Eurasian partnership and building an open and constructive cooperation based on the principles of international law without any political and economic selfishness, and taking into account each other's legitimate interests," Putin said.
