AKIPRESS.COM - India calls for the international summit on fight against terrorism, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said at the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Summit today in Bishkek. The Indian Prime Minister thanked President Sooronbai Jeenbekov and Kyrgyzstan for great leadership.
Two years ago India became a SCO member and continues making contribution at all SCO events, the Indian PM said.
Modi noted expansion of international relations through transport corridors.
While talking about security in SCO region, the Indian Prime Minister underlined importance of security and stability in Afghanistan. India is committed to supporting people of Afghanistan, he said.
India is also ready to share its experience in telemedicine and health tourism for enhancement of cooperation, he added.
The relations between SCO member states should be open and transparent, he went on saying.
Cooperation in environmental protection, education are areas in which SCO member states can cooperation, the Indian PM suggested. Education and cultural festivals bar young people from radicalism and build free societies, Modi added.
All humanitarian forces should consolidate their efforts in fight against terrorism. The countries that finance terrorism should take responsibility. All SCO countries should increase cooperation in fight against terrorism, Modi concluded.
