President Tokayev signs order on reorganization of 3 ministries

AKIPRESS.COM - President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev signed a decree on restructuring of the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development, the Ministry of National Economy and the Ministry of Digital Development, Defense and Aerospace Industry, the press service of the Akorda reports.
The order will enter into its force since June 17, 2019. The Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development will now have powers of the Ministry of Digital Development, Defense and Aerospace Industry. Its functions will include participation in military and technical policy, implementation of military and technical cooperation, formation, location and implementation of state defense order.
The Ministry of National Economy will have the tasks of the Ministry of Digital Development in the field of preparation and mobilization, formation and development of the state monetary reserve.
The Ministry of Digital Development, Defense and Aerospace Industry will be renamed as the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry. It will have the functions of the Ministry of Agriculture in the field of geodesy and cartography and the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development - in the field of innovation activity and scientific and technical development of the country.
Implementation of the order will be controlled by the Office of the President.
