AKIPRESS.COM - Minsk hosted the 7th session of the Uzbek-Belarus Intergovernmental Commission on Bilateral Cooperation co-chaired by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Elyor Ganiyev and Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus Vladimir Janitor, the Uzbek Foreign Ministry said.
Agreements on expanding cooperation in the fields of agriculture, animal husbandry, textile, pharmaceutical industry, science and technology, education, tourism and culture were inked during the session. A final protocol of the meeting was adopted.
During the visit, the Uzbek delegation held separate meetings with the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus Vladimir Dvornik and First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus Andrei Evdochenko.
They discussed current interstate relations, including the agenda and program of the upcoming Uzbek-Belarusian summit.
