Signing of new EU-Kyrgyzstan agreement possible in early 2020

Brussels, June 21, 2019. /Kabar/. The new European Union-Kyrgyzstan agreement may be signed in early 2020, the press service of the European External Action Service (EEAS) reported.
The document’s initialing is expected. "Negotiators have found common ground. Formally, the document will be signed at the end of 2019 or early next year," the report said.
According to the press service of the EEAS, this is a mutually beneficial agreement between the EU and the Kyrgyz Republic.
Talks on a new agreement on expanded partnership and cooperation have been going on for the past year and a half. The new strategy adopted is aimed at promoting sustainability, prosperity and regional cooperation.
The European External Action Service is the diplomatic service and foreign and defense ministry of the EU. The EEAS is led by the High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy (HR), who is also President of the Foreign Affairs Council and Vice-President of the European Commission, and carries out the EU's Common Foreign and Security Policy(CFSP), including the Common Security and Defense Policy (CSDP).
