Bishkek, June 24, 2019. /Kabar/. There is need to create sheep breeding projects in Kyrgyzstan, Aziza Yuldasheva, the Director of the Association of Agribusiness Jer Azygy told during the first meeting of the Committee on Industry and Entrepreneurship under the National Council on Sustainable Development of the Kyrgyz Republic with the participation of President Sooronbay Jeenbekov.
She noted that wool is in great demand among artisans and woolen goods companies.
"Vivatex company, located in Tokmok sells woolen products in Uzbekistan, Russia and America. We are talking about environmentally friendly products. There is a huge demand for wool in the world," she said.
Yuldasheva proposed new Minister of Agriculture, Food Industry and Land Reclamation Erkinbek Chouduyev, to create sheep breeding projects.
"Farmers usually have difficulty breeding these sheep. Therefore, we need support programs of these merinos. We will be very competitive in terms of wool products," she added.
