Kazakhstan, U.S. to sign Treaty on Open Skies

AKIPRESS.COM - Vice Minister of Industry of Kazakhstan Berik Kamaliyev speaking at a Senate meeting said Kazakhstan and the U.S. plan to sign the Treaty on Open Skies, inbusiness.kz reported. "A signing process will start by the end of this year. The document will allow to perform direct flights in 2021," he noted.
The number of passengers in total last year increased up to 7.9 million people or 7% more than in 2017 (7.4 million). The number of transit passengers grew by 45%, Vice Minister said.
Kamaliyev added that a number of Nur-Sultan - Moscow flights will be also increased. The agreement was signed with the Ministry of Transport of Russia, he said.
