About 40-50 explosions occur in Arys on June 24 — Ministry of Defense

AKIPRESS.COM - About 40-50 explosions occurred in the arsenal of the military base in the city of Arys on June 24, Deputy Minister of Defense of Kazakhstan Timur Dandybayev reported, RIA Novosti said. "Taking into account a number of weapons kept in the warehouse, we think about 40-50 explosions occurred," he told a press conference.
The Deputy Minister underlined no nuclear ammunition was kept in the warehouse.
The Ministry of Defense on Monday reported about a fire, which caused explosions of ammunition at the warehouse near Arys city on June 24 morning. Three people, including two servicemen, died while carrying out works.
