22 emergency situations occurred in Kyrgyzstan in H1

AKIPRESS.COM - In the first 6 months of 2021, 22 emergency situations occurred in Kyrgyzstan and resulted in 54 deaths and caused material damage to the amount of 1.340 bn soms, Deputy Emergency Minister Urmatbek Shamyrkanov said.
The number of deaths decreased by 43%, and material losses increased by 5 times compared to 2020.
The largest material damage came from the incident on the Kyrgyz-Tajik border in the Batken and Leilek districts. Material losses were estimated at 1.305 bn soms, and 36 people died, he said.
