Nursultan Nazarbayev chairs Defense Council Meeting on situation in Arys

AKIPRESS.COM - The Defense Council Meeting under chairmanship of former president of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev addressed the current situation in the city of Arys, Turkestan region, Akorda press service reported.
Chairman of the Council Nursultan Nazarbayev expressed condolence to relatives and friends of those died as a result of ammunition explosions in Arys and praised servicemen and volunteers, who are taking part in elimination of consequences of blasts.
"According to latest reports, the number of injured exceeded 160 people. Citizens from all regions of the country are expressing their concern, employees of organizations are uniting to help those wounded. Due to the strong unity of our nation, we will handle all problems," the Elbasy noted.
Nazarbayev underlined that the government is taking all measures on speedy recovery of a normal life in the region and assistance to the residents.
The talks also addressed water security. Participants discussed the situation with water resources of the country. They paid special attention to availability of water for population and reational use of water.
