Bishkek, June 28, 2019. /Kabar/. Director of the State Agency for Youth Affairs of Physical Culture and Sports Kanat Amankulov shared the results of the work and achievements of the department the past quarter during the press conference at Kabar News Agency.
Amankulov reminded of the "Tourism Development" Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Youth Forum held in February of this year in Bishkek, where it was decided to launch the SCO youth card, the purpose of which is to stimulate tourism within the organization.
A meeting of the SCO Youth Council within the framework of Kyrgyzstan’s chairmanship took place in June. Kyrgyz-Uzbek youth forum was held a few days ago, which was attended by young people from border areas. The event was aimed at promoting cohesion and interaction between the youth of the two countries.
"The Child and Youth Friendly Kyrgyzstan international concept is being adapted," Amankulov said. It includes the implementation of a strategy to support the participation of children and youth in addressing issues related to their well-being, implementation at the local government level, and resource allocation.
A total of USD 1 billion 14 million has been allocated for youth affairs, which have been distributed on 7 programs to be realized together with the international organizations, are the United Nations, German community, Aga Khan Foundation.
In the regions and regions, conditions will be created for the development of young people, so that they can enter leading universities without hindrance, having received the necessary knowledge.
Director Amankulov noted that domestic athletes plan to win 21 licenses in 13 sports for the 2020 Summer Olympic Games in Tokyo.
Amankulov said that there is a real chance to get licenses and win awards in 6 sports, as evidenced by the world ratings and results. Mainly it is wrestling (its kinds) and judo.
"It is planned to win licenses in such sports as Greco-Roman wrestling - 3, freestyle wrestling - 2, women's wrestling - 1, judo - 2, track and field athletics - 4, boxing - 1, weightlifting - 1, swimming - 2, modern pentathlon - 1, bullet shooting - 1, archery - 1, rowing and canoeing - 1, fencing – 1," he assured.
