Russia urges EU to respectfully treat realities in Central Asia

AKIPRESS.COM - Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Gregory Karasin at the meeting with EU Special Representative for Central Asia Peter Burian urged the European Union to respectfully treat the realities in Central Asia, the Russian Foreign Ministry said. Karasin also called upon the EU to respect the ongoing Eurasian integration processes and expressed readiness of Russia to find common areas of cooperation with the European Union in the Central Asian region.
The officials discussed the situation in Central Asia, exchanged views on prospects of cooperation between Russia, the EU and the Central Asian states.
