AKIPRESS.COM - About 20 people on July 10 came to the Nazarbayev Center in the city of Nur-Sultan to approach former president of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev saying they are dissatisfied with courts decisions, informburo.kz reported. The protesters were demanding to create a commission on reconsideration of illegally rendered verdicts of courts.
Employees of the office of the first president started receiving applications of those gathered. In their letters, protesters are demanding resignation of Chairman of the Supreme Court of Kazakhstan Zhakip Asanov.
The letter to Nazarbayev was signed by 70 people, however, there were at least 20 people in front of the office of the ex-president.
Protesters also demanded to inform them what happened with activist Sanavar Zakirova, who was detained by guards on the way to the Nazarbayev Center.
Earlier, officials were claiming Zakirova was not detained.
