Tokayev says land plots won't be sold to foreigners

AKIPRESS.COM - President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev speaking about the norms of the Land Code at the extended government session today said the land plots will not be sold to foreigners, Sputnik Kazakhstan reports.
"We should strengthen control over the effectiveness of using agricultural lands. The land belongs to those, who work on it," he said.
According to him, the Ministry of Agriculture started monitoring the rational land management.
Kazakhstan will complete a moratorium on some norms of the Land Code in 2021. Tokayev advised to take a decision on bans and lease of the agricultural lands.
