Bishkek, July 15, 2019. /Kabar/. A delegation of the Jogorku Kenesh headed by Speaker Dastanbek Dzhumabekov took part in the event, dedicated to the memory of the victims of July 15 in Ankara, Turkey, the press service of the Kyrgyz Parliament said.
The event was also attended by the heads and deputies of the parliaments of a number of countries.
The official visit of the parliamentary delegation led by Dzhumabekov will be continued by bilateral meetings.
Today, the Kyrgyz delegation was invited to the memorial events with the participation of President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan. In addition, Dzhumabekov is expected to meet with Chairman of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Mustafa Shentop.
The delegation included deputies Almazbek Akmatov, Iskander Gaipkulov, Ziyadin Zhamaldinov, Torobai Zulpukarov, Kanatbek Isaev, Talant Mamytov.
On 15 July 2016, a coup d'état was attempted in Turkey against state institutions, including the government and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. During the coup, over 300 people were killed and more than 2,100 were injured.
