Bishkek, July 16, 2019. /Kabar/. Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Mukhammedkalyi Abylgaziev participated in the Taza Zhan national workshop, held in Ysyk-Ata region of Chui Oblast.
Farmers from all regions of the country took part in the seminar.
The prime minister said that the country's agriculture and farming sector is developing. It is important the agricultural products to be qualitative, in demand and the volume should be reached.
"We have to come to the expansion of the sowing area, the farmers should rent the lands. All countries with a strong agricultural sector have established cooperatives and associations and benefit from large volumes of output," Abylgaziev said.
He noted that a law on cooperatives had been adopted. The establishment of cooperatives gives farmers the right to manage and dispose of their own property, to participate together in negotiations with consumers or to solve common economic problems.
Prime Minister Abylgaziev said that the Government has decided to grant subsidies to farmers and entrepreneurs. This is another step in the state's support of agriculture. At present, the country has project on agriculture worth KGS 58 million, which also includes solution to the irrigation issue.
"The population has learned to work in agriculture, farming. We have started to work with quality agricultural products. We should develop this sphere and solve social problems," Abylgaziev said.
"We have also started to work on the creation of four development programs with the participation of national institutions. This will become a good support for our farmers," he added.
The prime minister also noted that the Government is working on favorable credit conditions for farmers.
