Bishkek, July 17, 2019. /Kabar/. Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Mukhammedkalyi Abylgaziev signed the decision, approving the Concept of development of the jewelry industry of the Kyrgyz Republic for 2019-2022.
The Government’s press service reported that the Concept is developed in order to create favorable conditions for the development of the jewelry industry, create jobs, and increase the competitiveness of domestic enterprises producing jewelry made of precious metals.
This Concept aims to achieve by the end of 2022 the annual volume of gold and silver consumption by domestic enterprises up to 1 ton, which will contribute to the creation of additional jobs in the number of 2500 people employed in the jewelry industry.
Note, that for more effective implementation of the goals and objectives of the Concept of development of the jewelry industry for 2019-2022, the Action Plan for the implementation of the Concept is supplemented by the following objectives:
- Development of the state program to support jewelry industry enterprises;
- Increasing the competitiveness of jewelry industry enterprises;
- Promote actions aimed at support of import substitution and development of jewelry exports;
- Assistance in providing raw materials, taking into account both external and internal sources of income, the implementation of which is designed for the period up to 2023.
