Bishkek, July 17, 2019. /Kabar/. Delegation of representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic consisting of Head of Bishkek General Directorate of Internal Affairs Kanat Dzhumagaziyev and Head of the Academy of the Kyrgyz Ministry of Internal Affairs Adylbek Biybosunov on July 14-16 visited the Dubai Police Headquarters (UAE).
The press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry reported that the trip was organized by the Consulate General of the Kyrgyz Republic in Dubai with the support of the Emirati side.
The Kyrgyz delegation met with Head of the Dubai Police Force, Major General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, heads of police units, including Dubai Police Academy, during which the sides discussed wide range of issues, related to cooperation in the field of digital technologies, establishing direct contacts and exchange of operational information, as well as cooperation in the fight against crime.
One of the main agreements was the Dubai Police’s support and consent on the establishment of a smart police station in Bishkek (Smart Police Station project), with the provision of software and technical assistance to support the ongoing reforms within the framework of the year of the country’s digitalization. The Smart Police Station project represents a wide range of digital services, aimed at improving and controlling the quality of service using modern IT technologies and software.
In order to implement the agreements reached, the Dubai Police Headquarters’ leadership also expressed its readiness to establish a joint working group, including the invitation of staff and specialists from the Kyrgyz Ministry of Internal Affairs to Dubai for training, education and refresher courses in criminology, road and public safety and IT.
Note, that the Dubai Police’s leadership considered the issue of allocation special quota for cadets of the Kyrgyz Internal Ministry for free training at the Dubai Police Academy.
In order to consolidate the agreements reached and increase the potential of bilateral cooperation, the sides signed the Memorandum on Cooperation and Security.
