Abylgaziev: Kyrgyzstan attaches great importance to strengthening bilateral relations with South Korea

Bishkek, July 18, 2019. /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan highly appreciates political dialogue with South Korea and attaches great importance to strengthening relations, Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Mukhammedkalyi Abylgaziev said during the bilateral extended format meeting with Prime Minister of South Korea Lee Nak-yeon.
The Kyrgyz prime minister warmly welcomed his Korean counterpart and noted that the his official visit to Kyrgyzstan was long-awaited. In this regard, he is confident that this visit will be a very important event in strengthening bilateral relations.
Abylgaziev said that the Kyrgyz Government highly appreciates the political dialogue between the two countries and attaches great importance to strengthening relations. There is important to note the openness and readiness of the Kyrgyz side to deepen bilateral and multilateral relations between Kyrgyzstan and Korea. Kyrgyzstan views South Korea as one of the main partners in the Asian region.
"I would like to note that the Kyrgyz side is ready to cooperate with South Korea in all areas, and also to intensify bilateral ties in trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian areas. One of the priorities of Kyrgyzstan's foreign policy is to strengthen good-neighborly and friendly relations with such countries as Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan. We are linked to them by centuries-old ties, similarity of cultures, traditions and customs. Cooperation between the Kyrgyz Republic and Central Asian countries is developing both in bilateral and multilateral formats. We fully support the initiative of further holding of the Forum "Central Asia and South Korea", the prime minister said.
Prime Minister Abylgaziev thanked the Korean side for the support of democratic institutions, legal and state structures, and most importantly - in the implementation of electoral reforms.
