Bishkek, July 18, 2019. /Kabar/. The meeting of Prime Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Mukhammedkalyi Abylgaziev and South Korea Lee Nak-yon, who has arrived in Kyrgyzstan for an official visit, has ended in Bishkek.
Kyrgyz Prime Minister Abylgaziev said that, in the course of the talks the sides agreed to sign in the nearest future the Agreement on the construction of a building of the National clinical infectious disease hospital in Bishkek for 150 beds through the Korean Economic Development Cooperation Fund.
"Another important issue of bilateral cooperation is the transport sector. In this area, the sides have just signed a Protocol amending the Airline Agreement. In order to enhance tourism ties, as well as cultural and humanitarian exchange, we have discussed the possible opening of direct flights between Bishkek and Seoul, which, in turn, will also have a positive effect on the promotion of trade and economic relations," Abylgaziev said.
At the same time, the head of the Government noted the growth of citizens of Kyrgyzstan wishing to visit Korea with various purposes, including tourism, education, work, business, etc. The same situation is observed among the citizens of Korea. According to available data, the number of Korean tourists from 2015 to 2018 increased from 7,053 to 14 thousand 389 people, which is a good trend.
"In general, we have found points on all issues of bilateral interaction and a common understanding on the need to consolidate efforts to further increase and strengthen bilateral cooperation. We have a lot of developments and plans for substantive work. The most important thing is that our states are mutually interested and aimed at further deepening of mutually beneficial cooperation," Mukhammedkalyi Abylgaziev summed up.
