Bishkek, July 18, 2019. /Kabar/. The presentation of the My village project of the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) took place in Bishkek.
The event was attended by Prime Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Mukhammedkalyi Abylgaziev and South Korea Lee Nak-yon, members of the Korean delegation, entrepreneurs and agricultural producers.
The Kyrgyz prime minister in his speech noted that Korea was able to successfully implement the model of agricultural development, regional development, digitalization and green economy. "Today, South Korea is one of the leading countries with developed economies, and this is a great achievement of the My Village project. This project has become a great support in the development of the whole South Korea. And today we are present at the launch of this project in Kyrgyzstan. We believe that this project will be a big boost to the development of our villages," Abylgaziev said.
His Korean counterpart Lee Nak-yon said today South Korea's economy is one of the fastest growing economies in the world. Villages are the driving force behind the country's economic movement. Lee Nak-yeon is confident that this project will also raise the level of Kyrgyzstan's villages, and that agriculture becomes one of the most advanced and developed areas.
The My Village is a pilot project. It will last three years. The project will cover 30 villages of Chui, Batken and Osh Oblasts.
