State Revenue Committee of Kazakhstan concerned over grey import from China to Kazakhstan through Kazakhstan

AKIPRESS.COM - A grey import from China to Kazakhstan can be organized via checkpoints of Kyrgyzstan, the State Revenue Committee of Kazakhstan reported on July 22. The Committee says smugglers are establishing various schemes to reach their purpose and supply goods to Kazakhstan.
One of these schemes is entrance to the territory of the Eurasian Economic Union via Kyrgyzstan, the report said.
A good that do not correspond to the data stated in the documents will be soon transported through Kyrgyzstan. There were cases when goods were sent to non-existing recipients. According to the analysis of goods transported via Kyrgyzstan, 1.8 thousand facts of import of goods were revealed in the 1st quarter of this year, the Committee reported.
In this regard, Kazakh authorities decided to toughen control at border checkpoints with Kyrgyzstan from March 27, 2019.
