Kyrgyz government to allocate 50 million som to local self-government bodies for development of general plans annually

AKIPRESS.COM - The government of Kyrgyzstan plans to allocate 50 million som to local self-government bodies every year from 2020 to 2025 for development of general plans, the report on social and economic development forecast of Kyrgyzstan says.
To implement the tasks, the main competitiveness of each region should be determined considering their particularity and further development of towns. The practical implementation of the programs will start after completion of strategies.
As part of measures, the following tasks will be resolved:
- construction and launch of trade and logistics centers in the regions of the country;
- opening of public service centers in the regions;
-construction of irrigation facilities, introduction of new irrigated lands and increase of water availability;
- construction of educational and medical institutions based on actual needs;
- modernization and construction of energy infrastructure in the regions;
- construction and reconstruction of regional transport communications;
- construction, reconstruction of water supply and sanitation in the regions.
A mechanism will be launched for development of regions and promotion of investment flows to regional projects and companies.
