President meets with Saudi Arabia’s Parliament speaker

Bishkek, July 22, 2019. /Kabar/. President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sooronbay Jeenbekov met with Speaker of the Majlis ash-Shura (Consultative Assembly) of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Abdullah ibn Muhammad Al ash-Sheikh, who has arrived in Kyrgyzstan for an official visit.
Topical issues of bilateral cooperation were discussed, including further prospects of inter-parliamentary cooperation between the two countries, the pres service of the Kyrgyz President reported.
Jeenbekov noted that the development of cooperation with Saudi Arabia is one of the priorities for Kyrgyzstan. The evidence of friendly relations is the mutual visits of various levels over the past six months.
The President stressed that efforts will be continued to deepen joint interaction. He added that there is great potential in the development of trade and economic and cultural-humanitarian relations, agriculture and interregional cooperation.
The Kyrgyz President conveyed greetings to King of Saudi Arabia, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
Speaker of the Consultative Assembly Abdullah ibn Muhammad Al ash-Sheikh noted that fruitful negotiations with Parliament Speaker Dastanbek Dzhumabekov were held, during which the sides discussed not only measures to intensify inter-parliamentary cooperation, but also the whole range of issues of bilateral cooperation.
He expressed readiness for further cooperation and identification of the most promising areas of cooperation.
Abdullah ibn Muhammad Al ash-Sheikh emphasized that leadership of Saudi Arabia is waiting for the President of Kyrgyzstan for an official visit.
