Bishkek, July 25, 2019. /Kabar/. In the first half of the year, free legal advice was provided to 17 thousand 342 persons, Akzhol Kalbekov, the director of the Centre for Coordination of State-guaranteed Legal Aid (CCSGLA) said at the press conference at Kabar News Agency.
These indicators include 502 foreigners and 10 stateless persons.
"During the reporting period, qualified legal assistance was provided in criminal cases to 9 thousand 533 persons, including 1,071 at the detention stage, 1,657 at the investigation stage and 6,325 at the trial stage. 530 people in civil and administrative cases," said Kalbekov.
According to his data, as of 30 June 2019, the State Registry of Lawyers for qualified legal assistance had 311 lawyers. There are 24 centers throughout the country providing free legal advice to the population.
