Bishkek, July 26, 2019 / Kabar /. Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh Dastanbek Dzhumabekov met with the parliamentary delegation of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, led by head of the Friendship Group for Cooperation with the Kyrgyz Republic Sabri Ozturk.
The meeting was attended by head of the parliamentary parliamentary friendship group for cooperation with Turkey Almazbek Baatyrbekov and Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to Turkey Kubanychbek Omuraliev, the press service of the Kyrgyz Parliament reported.
Dzhumabekov noted that the presidents of our countries in 2018 met four times. The speaker said that he recently returned from Turkey, where he held bilateral meetings with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Chairman of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Mustafa Shentop. They discussed measures to strengthen friendly relations between countries.
"We have a goal to bring the turnover up to $ 1 billion. The parliaments of our countries should make maximum efforts and promote the growth of trade," said Dzhumabekov.
Sabri Ozturk, in turn, noted with satisfaction the comprehensive cooperation between the countries in various fields and wished the people of Kyrgyzstan success in building parliamentary democracy. He expressed gratitude to the speaker for participating in an event dedicated to the memory of the victims of July 15, when, three years ago, a coup attempt was made in Turkey, during which more than 250 people died in Ankara.
Ozturk said that the Jogorku Kenesh through the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic will receive a jointly drafted contract with the Maarif Foundation. He asked to consider this project. After the ratification of the Treaty, the Maarif Foundation will begin working in Kyrgyzstan.
