Bishkek, July 29, 2019. /Kabar/. Conferences with the participation of representatives of state bodies and law enforcement agencies from Central Asian countries took place in Bishkek on July 29-30, organized by the State Commission for Religious Affairs (SCRA) of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The press service of the Commission reported that the aim of the conference is to develop a set of recommendations for key policy-makers and decision makers, civil society leaders, as well as for the expert community and academia in the C5 countries to identify the most contextual and conflict-sensitive approaches, respecting the rights of each repatriate.
"The main task of the Regional Cooperation Framework is to create a platform and mechanisms for practical implementation of activities following the Regional Conference on Rehabilitation and Reintegration of Returnees in Central Asia, as well as to implement the Regional Action Plan," said Zayirbek Ergeshov, the SCRA Director.
The event was attended by a Parliament member, representatives of state bodies, the media community and NGOs, the United States Institute of Peace, and experts from Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
The partner of the meeting is the Representative Office of Search for Common Ground in Kyrgyzstan within the framework of the "Rehabilitation and Reintegration of Returnees in Central Asia: Priorities, Approaches, Best Practices and Lessons Learned" project.
