Abylgaziev: Only high-tech agriculture has strong export potential

Bishkek, July 30, 2019. /Kabar/. Kyrgyz Prime Minister Mukhammedkalyi Abylgaziev got acquainted with the activity of agricultural enterprises within the framework of his working visit to Chui Oblast.
The prime minister visited the Agro product Asia export-oriented enterprise, specializing in the production and sale of apples, built on modern Italian technologies.
Since the opening of the enterprise, 9800 tons of products have been sold and 97% exported to Russia, Mongolia and China. To date, the area of the apple orchard is 60 hectares, it is planned to bring the area of plantations up to 200 hectares. The planned yield is more than 5 thousand tons per year. Launching a line for the production and packaging of dried fruits is planned next year. The company employs about 20 people.
Abylgaziyev stressed the importance of supporting such processing enterprises of agriculture by state bodies and local authorities
"It is through the introduction of the most modern technologies into agricultural production that we will be able to make a breakthrough in the development of the agricultural sector, create new jobs and use our resources more efficiently," Abylgaziev said.
During his visit, PM Abylgaziev also familiarized with the activities of the Dar Zemli cannery in Moscow region, which received funding from the Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund in the amount of USD 835 thousand.
Production capacity is 15 tons per day. One shift employs 40 people. Production is launched on the site of the idle enterprise.
The prime minister thanked the agricultural producers for their active work and diligence, stressing that it is thanks to their efforts that the agricultural sector becomes more and more attractive for domestic and foreign investments.
