President: Made in Kyrgyzstan brand to withstand competition in external market

Bishkek, July 31, 2019. /Kabar/. "Made in Kyrgyzstan brand will withstand competition in the external market," Kyrgyz President Sooronbay Jeenbekov said today at the meeting with residents of Panvilov region, Chui Oblast, his press service reported.
He stressed that in order to enhance the export of ecologically clean and organic products to China, an action plan has been approved and relevant activities are being carried out within its framework.
In addition, the Government has adopted the Export Development Program for 2019-2022. According to it, some measures are envisaged to increase the volume of processed agricultural products exports to China and ensure the growth of processed products.
"We will withstand global competition due to environmentally friendly products without chemicals. Prices for agricultural products in Kyrgyzstan are comparatively lower than in neighboring countries. These factors will strengthen the brand of eco-products produced in Kyrgyzstan in the future," Jeenbekov said, recalling that membership in the EAEU and the status of GSP+ also provide an opportunity for environmentally friendly Kyrgyz products to enter the big market.
