AKIPRESS.COM - A slaughterhouse in Ala-Buka district signed a contract on export of meat products to Uzbekistan, director of the slaughterhouse Esen Kudaiberdiyev said during the press tour for journalists.
In order to build this slaughterhouse, the owners received a preferential loan of 7 million soms in 2017. Equipment was purchased from Russia for 4 million soms. 40 head of cattle and 200 small cattle are slaughtered in one shift.
The Uzbek side has already transferred $20,000 in first installment under the contract, which envisages export of 5000 cattle and 5000 small cattle. "Monthly, we must deliver 20 tons of meat," he said.
The only problem here is remote location of facility from the border with Uzbekistan, about 600 km, he said.
Uzbekistan is interested in eco-friendly meat from Kyrgyzstan. "Uzbek agriculture minister visited the country, a protocol was signed, and the contract was developed."
