Jalal-Abad, Aug.1,2019. /Kabar/. The new underground passage connecting the central streets is under construction in the center of Jalal-Abad town.
The 35-meter-long underground complex is being built for the first time at the expense of the local budget of town. The total estimated cost of the facility is more than KGS 20 million.
Murataly Tagayev, the Jalal-Abad mayor said the construction of the underground complex is a calling of time, as the city is developing at a dynamic pace.
"There is a lot of traffic here, both in cars and pedestrians, so the underground passage was necessary for the safety of the population. The object is planned to be put into operation by Oct. 1 this year," the mayor said.
In addition, the Jalal-Abad mayor took part in the opening of new road connecting the two parts of the town. The new 511-meter long street was built within the framework of the Presidential Decree on Regional Development.
The new road should connect two parts of Jalal-Abad, thus relieving the central streets. A total of KGS 4 million 500 thousand was spent on the road’s construction.
