Bishkek, Aug.1, 2019 /Kabar/. Kyrgyz Prime Minister Mukhammedkalyi Abylgaziev met with his Uzbek counterpart Abdulla Aripov, who has arrived in the Kyrgyz Republic for a working visit, the press service of the Government said.
During the meeting, the heads of government noted with satisfaction that cultural and humanitarian cooperation between the two countries is developing at a high level, which undoubtedly has an impact on the strengthening of bilateral relations.
"Presidents of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan made a great contribution to the achievement of trusting relations between the countries. Today, I met with President Sooronbay Jeenbekov, where a message was given to further develop our relations in the spirit of good-neighborliness and friendship," the prime minister of Uzbekistan added.
Discussing topical issues of bilateral relations, the sides expressed their mutual desire to bring the trade turnover between the two countries up to USD 500 million. Note, this amount was previously indicated by Presidents of the two countries Sooronbay Jeenbekov and Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
The prime ministers discussed topical issues of cooperation between the countries, outlined further ways to deepen bilateral ties in all areas of interaction.
In particular, the issues of trade and economy, cultural and humanitarian and border cooperation between the countries, cooperation in agriculture, energy and other spheres were discussed.
