Average wage of Kazakhstanis stands at $483

AKIPRESS.COM - The average wage in Kazakhstan in the second quarter of 2019 amounted to 186,537 tenge ($483), according to the Ministry of National Economy of the country. The highest nominal wage in financial and insurance activities stood at 458,000 tenge ($1,200), in mining industry and field development - 378,300 tenge ($1,000), in professional and technical activities - 315,100 ($815), in information and communications - 274, 800 tenge ($711), in construction - 233,000 tenge ($600).
The lowest level of nominal wage in the country was observed in agricultural and fishery spheres - 112,900 tenge ($290), which is 39.5% lower than the average figure.
The highest nominal wage among regions was recorded in Atyrau region - 325,000 tenge ($840). In Jambyl region, the figure was 126,500 ($327), which is lower that the average wage in the country.
