Bishkek, Aug.6, 2019. /Kabar/. Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Japan Mirlan Arstanbayev took part in the 74th memorial ceremony, dedicated to the victims of the atomic bombing of Hiroshima city, the press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry reported.
The memorial ceremony traditionally took place in the Peace Park in the center of Hiroshima. The ceremony began at 08:15 local time, at the time of the atomic bomb explosion 74 years ago. A minute of silence was declared all over the country, which was counted by the blows of the bell. Hiroshima Mayor Kazumi Matsui presented a Declaration of Peace calling for complete nuclear disarmament.
Prime Minister of Japan Shinzō Abe, members of parliament and members of the Cabinet of Ministers of Japan, the diplomatic corps accredited in Japan, representatives of the families of the victims and survivors of the atomic bombing, as well as residents and guests of Hiroshima also participated in the memorial events.
Besides, Arstanbayev met with Hiroshima Mayor Mr. Kazumi Matsui, and the Chairman of Hiroshima City Council Mr. Haruo Yamada.
