Cellphone vibration might access quality of roads in Kazakhstan

AKIPRESS.COM - Authorities in Kazakhstan plan to launch a mobile application for evaluation of roads in the country this September, Tengrinews.kz reported. "Every smartphone might be a potential assessor of the quality of roads. You drive the car, put your cellphone on the instrument panel and launch the application. Then we will be able to evaluate the quality of roads," Director of the Anti-Corruption Agency Daniyar Sabirbayev told reporters.
According to him, the application will be counting a number of vibrations of a car. The program will be tested first, he noted.
The idea of evaluation of the quality of roads is not new, according to him.
The state bodies will be able to understand how to plan the expenditure side of the budget, Sabirbayev added.
