EAEU formed as full-fledged and rapidly developing integration union – Abylgaziev

Cholpon-Ata, Aug.9, 2019. /Kabar/. The Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) has been formed as a full-fledged and rapidly developing integration union, Kyrgyz Prime Minister Mukhammedkalyi Abylgaziev said, summing up provisional results within the extended format meeting of the EAEU Intergovernmental Council, which is taking place in Cholpon-Ata.
Abylgaziev noted during the 5 years of the EAEU functioning, the results of the systematic work of all the member states of the alliance are visible.
"For the first time, the sides have defined the vector of increasing the economic and trade potential of the Union. And the past years can be characterized as breakthroughs in strengthening the Union in the international arena. This is evidenced by the consolidated trade with Vietnam, the agreements signed with Iran and China, as well as active negotiations with Singapore, India, Egypt, Serbia and Israel," he said.
Abylgaziev noted for 5 months of this year, trade turnover of Kyrgyzstan with partners in the Union increased by 5% compared to 2018.
"GDP in 2019 showed positive dynamics and grew by 6.5%, while industry growth by 20%. I would like to note that EAEU member states together with the Commission are constantly working to create conditions, including improving the legal framework, stimulating the increase in exports, deepening the existing, as well as new production chains in the Union, creating jobs, which will have a positive impact on the countries of the Union," the prime minister added.
He reminded that one of the main goals of the Union is to strive for the formation of a single market for goods, services and capital and labor resources, which obliges the countries to refrain from measures that may adversely affect the Union.
