Uzbekistan introduces visa waiver for 20 more countries from 2020

AKIPRESS.COM - Uzbekistan will introduce 30-day visa-free travel for tourists of another 20 countries from Jan. 1, 2020, according to a presidential decree issued on Tuesday.
The number of countries that Uzbekistan has introduced 30-day visa-free regime within a year has now reached 85 and the authorities say this not a limit.
The list of 20 nations includes:
1. Antigua and Barbuda
2. Barbados
3. Belize
4. Grenada
5. Dominican Republic
6. Mexico
7. Guatemala
8. Honduras
9. Costa Rica
10. Cuba
11. Nicaragua
12. Panama
13. Trinidad and Tobago
14. El Salvador
15. Saint Vincent and the Grenadines
16. Saint Lucia
17. Commonwealth of the Bahamas
18. Dominican Commonwealth
19. Federation of Saint Kitts and Nevis
20. Jamaica
Uzbekistan's government has been taking a set of measures to boost tourism. The government's aim is to attract more than 9 million foreign tourists by 2025 and increase the share of the tourism industry in the gross domestic product from 2.3 percent in 2017 to 5 percent in 2025.
