Bishkek, Aug.14, 2019. /Kabar/. The Civil Aviation Agency of the Kyrgyz Republic intends to pass the audit on withdrawal from the black list of the European Union, Bakyt Zhunushaliyev, the Agency Director told during the press conference at Kabar News Agency.
He said that for 2.5 years the Agency had been training to pass the ICAO certification audit.
"We have obtained 120 certificates, it means that our employees have been trained 120 times. We have signed a lot of agreements with France, Turkey, the ICAO, which have trained specialists. Last year, two ICAO specialists spent two months in Kyrgyzstan and worked with us. We approved more than 10 aviation rules, which were close to international standards.
"All 5 airlines, 37 planes and helicopters in Kyrgyzstan meet international standards. We were blacklisted by the European Union, but we passed the commission and were able to withdraw negative assessments. They sent us a request for 30 items that we are working on. We have to present evidence that there is progress," added the director of the Agency.
Next month, the Civil Aviation Agency will send a preliminary response to the request to the European Union. After the preliminary study, the representatives of the Agency will visit the EU to resolve the issue of withdrawal from the black list.
