Bishkek, Aug.15, 2019. /Kabar/. This year marks the 30th anniversary of the Law on the adoption of the State Language of the Kyrgyz Republic.
During the press conference at Kabar News Agency, Chairman of the Commission on State Language under President of the Kyrgyz Republic Nazarkul Ishekeyev reminded that the Law was adopted on Sep. 23, 1989.
A jubilee organizing committee has been established headed by Kyrgyzstan's Deputy Prime Minister Altynai Omurbekova.
Deputy Minister of Culture, Information and Tourism Nurzhigit Kadyrbekov noted a number of events will be held throughout the country to mark the 30th anniversary. In particular, aytysh (a song competition between two improvising poets) will be held on Sep. 1, and a gala concert is scheduled for Sep. 23.
"In addition, events will be held in all the Culture Ministry’s offices and libraries in the country. We will involve district newspapers, regional TV channels, universities, schools and theatres in the event," he added.
"Learning a language today is consistent with the global system. In kindergartens and primary schools we have developed a system of language assessment. In addition, the system for evaluating the knowledge of children who have completed junior grades has been standardized," Nadira Jusupbekova, Deputy Education Minister said.
An international conference, attended by Russian, Kazakh, Dutch organizations, will be held in honor of the 30th anniversary of the Law on the adoption of the State Language.
As part of the anniversary event will be held in Germany, Italy, Turkey, Russia and Uzbekistan.
