Kyrgyzstan carries out work to return Kyrgyz citizens who have left for Syria and Iraq

Pursuant to the President’s order, the Kyrgyz national security bodies, together with the relevant authorities and in collaboration with partner services, continue the second phase of work to return the Kyrgyz citizens from the Syrian and Iraqi combat zones, as well as those who are in different refugee camps, the press service of the State Committee for National Security said..
Currently, work is underway to identify citizenship and their involvement in terrorist activities. Many of them have children, but their parents need the consent of their parents to return to their homeland, despite the fact that their mother or father will remain in the Syrian-Iraqi zone until the end of special verification activities.
If parents are involved in terrorist activities, they may be deprived of their rights to children.
Upon returning to their homeland, citizens will undergo rehabilitation, and in accordance with the requirements of the law, the degree of their responsibility will be determined.
Work on the return of Kyrgyz citizens from war zones in Syria and Iraq, as well as those who are in different refugee camps, is under the personal control of the Kyrgyz President.
