Kyrgyz government forms Fund for Social Partnership for Development of Regions

Bishkek, Aug. 22, 2019 / Kabar /. Fund for Social Partnership for the Development of Regions public foundation has been created under the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic. The corresponding resolution was signed by Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Mukhammedkalyi Abylgaziev, the press service of the government said.
The purpose and objective of this resolution is the creation of the Fund for Social Partnership for the Development of Regions public fund in order to strengthen the material and technical base and support the activities of institutions aimed at developing human capital, as well as supporting and creating enterprises in the regions.
Within the framework of the signed Strategic Agreement in September 2017, Centerra Gold Inc. takes on new commitments aimed at expanding financing of environmental measures, as well as supporting events aimed at developing the regions.
The created Fund will support and finance events and projects aimed at creating appropriate conditions for the development of eco-tourism and investment projects. Particular attention will be paid to the support and creation of new enterprises in the regions, aimed at export-oriented production, innovative technologies, renewable energy sources, agricultural processing and assembly production.
Adoption of a resolution of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic will not entail negative social, economic, legal, human rights, gender, environmental, and corruption consequences.
In addition, funds will be received at the expense of Kumtor Gold Company. Therefore, there will be no additional financial costs from the republican budget.
