Bishkek mayor, Azerbaijani ambassador discuss Heydar Aliyev park construction project

Bishkek, Aug.22, 2019. /Kabar/. Bishkek Mayor Aziz Surakmatov met with Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Kyrgyzstan Hidayat Orujov.
The sides discussed the working aspects of the project on construction of the Heydar Aliyev Park and general education school, the Bishkek Mayor’s Office reported.
The mayor noted the project organization has already completed the development of the working project of improvement of the Heydar Aliyev Park and handed over it to the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Kyrgyzstan in March 2019. The area of the future park, which will be located in the south-eastern part of the capital, is 5.5 hectares.
Also, the mayor and the ambassador discussed the progress of preparatory construction works of the general education school for 550 places in the Kok-Zhar residential area.
The land plot of 2.24 hectares was transferred to the Azerbaijani side for temporary use during the design and construction periods of the school.
KGS 1 million 200 thousand have been allocated from the city budget for the design works of the new school, KGS 1 million - for the Park. Tenders have been announced.
Note that Azerbaijan will finance the construction of the facilities.
On Mar. 7, 2019, the Bishkek Mayor's Office and the Azerbaijani Embassy in Kyrgyzstan signed the Memorandum on cooperation in the construction of the Heydar Aliyev Park and the construction of a general education school in Bishkek.
